Sneak Peek

A few pics of progress in the bathroom. We're still waiting on a few pieces - glass for the shower, the basketweave tile, and the frosted door. So this is all you're gonna get until the final reveal - hopefully in about two weeks!

Just from seeing these "sneak Peaks" what stands out to me is the quality of workmanship. I love the simplicity of the materials and fittings you have used. I think that the simple classics like the subway tile, faucets etc, combined with perfect installation makes it really fabulous. I am excited to see the whole room.

I agree with Chania - great workmanship and attention to detail. I'm glad to see your swanky dual flush toilet too. My fave thing about it is the flush buttons - so sleek and modern. :-)

Wow, how can you ever leave that room, even if it's unfinished right now lol!?

Glad you all like :)

Chania, Corey - even I was impressed by HandyMan's tile work (although I knew he was capable of it). He is such a stickler for detail and I think that shines through in the photos. I will pass on your pats on the back to him!

j&k - I know! We purchased the Ikea cabinets for the nursery on the weekend so we are going to start on that really really soon :)

mrs.leah.maria - I hate to admit it, but we've spent a fair bit of time just standing around admiring the shiny tiles and sparkly toilet, lol!

Great pick on the faucet! It's really looking great can't wait for the reveal. You guys really inspired me, I just selected big 4x8 subway tiles for our shower and I purchased some great faucets from Overstock.

Love the tile work and your mix of modern and vintage styles. What kind of tile and color did you use? We've been looking for the right white for our subway tile. Can't wait for the final reveal.

Hi, I came across your blog through another. Love the renovations! Quick question: where did you find basketweave tile? I've been looking for it, but haven't been able to find it (we're currently overseas, so it's been limited to online window shopping but will eventually be in store). Thanks!

I love your faucet! Where did you find it?

Glad we could inspire you Sarah!

Anon - we just used ceramic tiles from Lowe's in 3"x6" and 6"x8". The tile isn't a pure, bluey white. It has a slight hint of cream in it which really is only visible at night. In daylight, it looks white white.

Kalee - we got our basketweave tile from http://www.saltillo-tiles.com/ here in Toronto.

Shashi - the faucet is the Lyntier by Kohler. You should be able to find it at any Kohler distributor :)

I love your blog! It's hard sometimes to find other bloggers from Canada. I just did a post on bathrooms and it would appear as though we have some decor taste in common, check out my post to find out what, as I credited one of your pictures :)
