My favourite art show is coming up next weekend. The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition features over 500 artists, both professionals and students, who sell their wares direct to the public over the 3-day exhibition. It takes place at Nathan Phillips Square in the shadow of the spectacular Toronto City Hall building. Its a wonderful way to enjoy art in the city (or even a reason to come visit Toronto)!
I've bought smaller pieces at the show but this year, I'm aiming to make some bigger purchases to fill the empty walls in our living room. The prospect of discovering works by some unknown talent gets me all excited. Check out their artist catalogue to get a preview of some of the participants.

You guys may want to check out The Door Store if you're ever in the Castlefield/Dufferin area. I stumbled upon it today and it has a ton of vintage doors, doorknobs, vent covers, and some other stuff that you might find interesting. We plan to go back there when we get to the finishing stages of our renovation.
I wish I could go to the art show , it must be amazing to have it all in one place.
Chris
Thanks vez! I've seen the store but have never gone in. I'll have to check it out.
Chris - it is a FANTASTIC show. The quality of work is impressive. There is painting, photography, ceramics... lots of choice!
